A new mother has spoken out about the backlash she received after posting a video online in which she can be seen cradling both of her daughters.

Alexis LaRue, who is 22 years old, went home after posing with her twin babies who are seven months old, and viewers were left marveling at their size. She was accused of overfeeding the kids, who are now both 21 pounds.

Prior to being pregnant, Alexis, who is from Minneapolis–Saint Paul in Minnesota, United States of America, weighed 108 pounds (49 kilograms) and stood 5 feet, 3 inches tall; but, by the time she was 38 weeks along, she had swelled to 180 pounds (82 kilograms).

Camila was born at 9:52 a.m. weighing 6 pounds 6 ounces, and Elena arrived one minute later weighing 6 pounds 7 ounces. Both of her daughters were born in the month of March.

The adorable babies have now tripled their weight, coming in at approximately 21 lbs. each, and have been growing rapidly over the past nearly seven months. According to Alexis, “They just seem to really enjoy trying new foods.”

Whenever I am eating something, they always look at me in such a way as if they are anticipating that I will offer some of it to them.
